i had a whole lot to say about this wedding, but nothing i was saying could possibly encapsulate everything this day was more than the words shared by dallas + celeste’s officiant. i remember standing there, completely lost in the words being spoken. the fact that he had to scream them to overpower the gush of winds off the coast of lake huron only caused them to pierce our hearts even deeper. it was as if they were meant to be screamed all along, like it was the plan from the very beginning.
just as well, because words this beautiful should be screamed from every mountain top, and every cliff’s edge.
Everyday I will wake up and choose you.
I will be your audience.
Today you promise to become witnesses to one another’s story.
Today you are promising to care about everything; the good, the bad, the exciting and the mundane.
All of it, all of the time, every day.
You are saying …’Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it.
Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness.
I will celebrate your life. I will dance when you dance. I will weep when you weep. In the turmoil and the joy.
In all seasons, I will pursue you. I will always choose to turn in.
I will lay down my life.
dallas + celeste hosted the most unique and beautiful DYI wedding i’ve ever seen. right down to the groom cooking gourmet pizza for all of their guests. they promised forever to each other in a park overlooking the great lake huron, and on our way to their reception we stopped into dallas’s local sarnia brewery, Refined Fool Brewing Company. it was only fitting that he be the owner of such an eclectic + cool space. and we wrapped up the evening with homemade pies, a giant pile of cotton candy, good brews, and cuttin’ a rug or two. it was basically the best day ever, aaaaaand canada rules.
