this session got rained out twice, and i am so glad that we waited because this family just so happens to get one of the best sunset soaks i’ve ever seen… over the span of three hours that i was with them, i couldn’t believe how many times and ways the light would change as the sun began it’s daily descent.
so basically what you’re going to find in this little collection of my favorite images are all of my mom goals brought to life. there are so many undertones happening in every single photograph i took that evening, and my hope is that by the time you get to the end of this, that you’ll be able to feel it too. whether it was the displays of affection between mike and aubri that i loved watching their girls notice, or the ways that piper and rilyn both got their very own (and very different) needs met in the ways that suited them best. i included all of the photos of piper’s dashing into an oblivion of adventure, and all of the photos where rilyn’s sensitive heart was met with tenderness and quiet when she needed it.
but the thing that kept grabbing me during our time together was how free, and relaxed their hands were when they touched, and the way these little ladies + mike looked at aubri when she wasn’t looking. this beautiful historic home is filled with love, and it was an honor to be invited to step into it for just a little while so that this time in their lives could be savored forever…
i’ll let the photographs tell you the rest,
