Theresa + Brandon traveled to Michigan to have an intimate wedding with just their family, and Brandon’s childhood home was a perfect backdrop for such an occasion. The house sits on one my favorite Ann Arbor streets where the sunset always puts on a show down the sleepy streets.

I was so pleasantly surprised during the ceremony, when Theresa turned to Brandon’s family, and Brandon turned to Theresa’s family, and they each spoke such loving, genuine, and powerful words to them. It was so unexpected, and so tender, and it’s just the kind of thing I love to be witness to. When I get in my car to drive home after weddings like this, these are the kind of moments that have the ability to awaken me, and remind me of what this whole being alive business is supposed to be about.
